Picture source The first of four 3m movies will be screened on January 29, 2019 at the Royal Opera House, and will include footage from The Lad’s early years.
In between screenings, the film will be re-released on the Opera’s website.
The Lad bible, which will be shown at the theatre on Saturday night, follows a teenage orphan who discovers that his adoptive family is a cult.
In his second year, the boy must find his place in the world and make a choice between saving his adoptive parents or accepting a life of isolation.
The film will also feature scenes of his adoptive father and adoptive mother, who are also the main characters.
Originally, the story was told in one film, but the studio decided to split it into two films to accommodate the audience.
While the film is being screened in the Perth theatre, the company will also be screening the first film on the Royal Perth Opera’s online portal, and its other productions, including the new movie.
At the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Adelaide Opera will screen a film about the first human race.
